PM Modi lashed out at West Bengal CM, Mamta Banerjee and said that BJP is winning over 100 seats in the 4 phases of polling that has been held in West Bengal. Mamata Banerjee has been ‘clean bowled’ in Nandigram and her entire team has been asked to leave the field by voters of West Bengal.
BARDHAMAN (WEST BENGAL): Referencing to a cricket analogy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday that the people of Bengal have hit so many fours and sixes in the first four phases of the assembly polls that the BJP has “already completed its century” and Didi along with her entire team is on course to being wiped out.
This was said after TMC was reported of being wiped out in 4 phases of the poll held till now.
PM Modi addressed the first rally in Bengal amidst soaring Covid-19 cases nationwide. People took part in the rally without following the protocols of social distancing and wearing masks.
Talking of her bitterness, PM said,” Didi, O Didi…..If you want to lash out your anger, I am here. Abuse me if you want. But do not insult Bengal’s pride(Garima) and identity( gauravmayta). Bengal won’t tolerate it.
He praised the people of Bengal saying that they failed ‘Didi’s plan’ to make her nephew the party head. It was earlier indicated that Abhishek Banerjee, the nephew of Mamata Banerjee will soon be the heir apparent to the party’s throne once the veteran leader retires.
Using Trinamool’s slogan ” Ma, Mati Manush ( Mother, motherland, humans), he attacked the party saying that the actual reality is: “Tormenting’Ma’, looting ‘Mati’ and bloodshed of ‘Manush’.
Further in his speech, Modi lashed out at Banerjee over a TMC leader and candidate’s comments against the Scheduled Castes calling them ‘bhikhari'(beggars).
“Didi calls herself a Royal Bengal Tiger”.
“You tell me is it possible for someone to say such things without her permission? Such comments have hurt the soul of our national leader, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar. Didi, you have committed the biggest sin by insulting Dalits,”, he said.
“Didi knows once she is voted out, she can’t make a comeback,” he said, thus hinting out at Congress.
After four more rounds of voting, counting of votes in the state will take place on the 2nd of May.
