A violent protest took place on 26th January 2021 where hundreds of farmers gathered together for a tractor rally in Delhi.
On that day many farmers on their tractors protested on the roads of Delhi after clashing with several police individuals.
The tractor rally took place between 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM and the farmers were seen on the Red Fort a few hours after the protest started.
Farmers were seen hoisting their “Kesari” Flag in place of the Indian Flag which made many Indians upset and the protest turned even brutal.
Navreet Singh, a farmer, lost his life and several others were injured along with police individuals during the Delhi riots.
To this protest, many Indian and foreign celebrities flooded Twitter with #FarmersProtest, #IStandForFarmers, and many other hashtags.

The pop Barbadian singer, Robyn Rihanna Fenty, tweeted about the farmers’ protest while questioning people why they were not talking about problems faced by farmers in India.
She attached a picture of farmers, on tractors, with their “Kesari” flags on their vehicles protesting on Delhi streets.
Although her tweet was criticized by several Indians, mostly belonging to the Indian industry and various politicians. Indians portrayed a sense of displease regarding her tweet.

2. Greta Thunberg
The Sweden based environmental activist, Greta Tintin Eleonora Emman, is known for her courage to stand against the world leaders while challenging them to take care of the environment with immediate actions for climate change.
She stood for the farmers through her tweet which mentioned #IStandWithFarmers. In another tweet, She attached a picture, of farmers protesting in Delhi, which also mentions that the internet supply was blocked in areas surrounding Delhi.

3. Lilly Singh
Lilly Singh is a Canadian Youtuber, actress, and comedian. She used her Twitter account to show support for the farmers who are facing issues in India after the three farm bills were passed and lead to these protests.
The uneasiness among the farmers is visible since November when the peaceful protest started.

4. Amanda Cerny
The very famous American Vlogger, Amanda Cerny, posted a picture of three women on her Instagram handle showing her support to the farmers of India.
She mentioned that race doesn’t matter when it comes to understanding “Humanity”.
Her Instagram post was followed with a caption where she wrote that people should care about humanity and demand freedom of speech and demand for the press.
The fignity of workers and basic human and civil rights should also be demanded by them.
She raised a concern regarding the internet shutdown with a #internetshutdown and supported farmers with #FarmersProtest.
5. Navraj Singh Goraya
The Canadian rapper, Navraj Singh Goraya, also called “Nav”, tweeted regarding the farmers’ support which was the need of the hour.
He tweeted that he stands with the farmers and mentioned that they should remain peaceful, united, and not back down. He ended his tweet with #FarmersProtest.

6. Mia Khalifa
Mia Khalifa raised concern regarding the fact that people called these farmers “Paid Actors”! She tweeted about the internet shutdown which took place in cities around Delhi because such an act was an act of human rights violation.
She mentioned that if people consider them paid actors then they should not be overlooked when the award season is going on!
She continued her tweet with #FarmersProtest.

7. Rupi Kaur
The poet brought goosebumps whenever one would read her books. she uploaded a series of photographs on her Instagram account with a caption that cannot be “ignored” at any point.
Each word of the caption referred to how farmers are the only people responsible for our good health.
She mentioned in her Instagram caption that the attacks by the mobs that took place previously, unwrapped the disaster again when the protest took place.
Horrific incidents took place on Delhi roads while hundreds sat outside the border, before the protest, and assembling with kirtans and high spirits.
Rupi Kaur has been actively sharing the information through her Instagram posts to raise concerns regarding the protest and supporting the farmers through her social media account.
8. Jameela Jamil
The British actress, activist, and model retweeted Rihanna’s tweet which questioned people on their lack of interest in the protests taking place in India.

9. Jay Sean
Jay Sean wrote, on Instagram, that the framers’ protest taking place in India is the largest protest to ever take place in history.
He mentioned how no big coverage is shown in the US regarding the protest but has seen few shocking videos which were heartbreaking and needed more attention to raising awareness.
He requested people to sign a petition, which he posted in his story, through a petition link to stand with the farmers.
He used #IStandWithFarmers and #FarmersProtest in his post.
10. Meena Harris
Niece of Kamala Harris, Vice President of the US, Meena Harris, extended her support for the farmers and tweeted that the world’s oldest democracy is under attack.
She goes on by mentioning, in her tweet, how people should be outraged with the “internet shutdown” and the paramilitary violence which is taking place against the farmers in India.
