Pune-based AgriTech Firm, Shivrai Technologies’ primary product FarmERP bagged them the second position in the Asia Agritech Challenge organized by Value Chain Capacity Network (VCB-N).

FarmERP is an enterprise and resource planning platform that was initially introduced in 2001 when Sanjay Borkar and Santosh Shinde (co-founders of Shivrai Technologies) sought to improve agriculture and help farmers with IT solutions. The second position at the Asia Agritech Challenge in 2020, awarded to them for digital innovation across agricultural value chains, also brought them a cash prize worth 2000 USD. Their competitors for the prize were several prestigious names in the industry like the Department of Science and Technology – India, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation.

Sanjay Borkar said that the recognition and honor was an added motivation for them to continue working on providing more efficient agricultural solutions and help the nation flourish at the grassroots.

In 2017, FarmERP won the Maxwell Award for Corporate Excellence in Innovation for innovative solutions for agriculture. This year, they were also finalists at the Aegis Graham Bell Awards in the Innovation in Agritech category.
