Boycott China: The latest trend in social media is the removal of Chinese applications after accusations in China about COVID-19 expansion and access to the border of India. This has prompted Indian users to remove all Chinese applications from their mobile phones.

The social media app Tiktok is the platform where it all started. TikTok’s surprise videos are under the radar of netizens who made calls to remove the app. This is related to last week’s border dispute. However, netizens decreased Tik Tok’s rating from 4.4 to 2.2, which Google later removed.

People started boycotting Chinese goods and software after PM Modi addressed the nation and made an appeal asking people to be vocal for local. To make it easier for people to distinguish between Chinese and non-Chinese apps, an app called Remove China Apps is available in the Google Play Store. In less than two weeks, the app had over one million downloads and a rating of 4.4.

How To Use Remove China Apps

After ” Remove China Apps” is installed on your phone, it scans all the apps on your device and tries to do the same in your database to find the Chinese database. Suitable action will reflect, and the delete button will help you to uninstall all the Chinese applications from your device.

The application is programmed by a company called OneTouch AppLabs. Surprisingly, this is the only application the company has developed. The installation process of the application is simple. However, the app can only display third-party applications on the device, but will not show Chinese applications embedded in Chinese smartphones such as Xiaomi, Life, Oppo, etc.

After the outrage over TikTok, many users turned to an app called Mitron that provides similar services. However, it later emerged that a Pakistani programmer had made the application.
