On Monday, BJP leader from Nandigram, Suvendu Adhikari lodged a complaint against CM Mamata Banerjee with Election Commission claiming that she had not declared the six cases pending against her. Suvendu Adhikari demanded the EC to cancel Mamata Banerjee’s nomination from Nandigram.
Suvendu Adhikari, the former state minister and Mamata’s student, claimed in his letter to EC that Mamata’s had prohibited information about the six cases filed against her in Assam. However, he didn’t elaborated the offences committed by Mamata Banerjee.
Adhikari told the reporters that she didn’t mentioned the six cases pending against her in her affidavit. Out of six cases, five are lodged in Assam while other one is a CBI case. He have appealed to the Election Commission to cancel her nomination for suppressing the information. He hopes that a necessary action will be taken, and the action will be according to the law.
