Tesla To Launch Model 3 In India By June, Bookings To Begin By Next Jan 2021

Demand for electric vehicles has suddenly gained massive importance in India and various companies have started building their EVs.

The electric vehicle manufacturing giant, Tesla, has decided to bring their finest electric vehicle technology to India and will be launching their car in India for the first time.

The car is set to launch as early as next year but the bookings might commence as early as the next month, January 2021.

According to the ET auto reports, Tesla is ready to launch their Model 3 in India and the bookings will commence in the next month. The delivery of the same will start from the end of Q1 2021-22.

History Of Launching Tesla Car In India

Tesla decided to launch their Model 3 in India in 2016 however due to lack of proper infrastructure the company decided not to launch it.

Tesla will be importing their cars as CBU, Completely Built Units, instead of selling them via dealerships. The company will focus on online sales and the debut in India will start with their most affordable, Model 3.

The launching of the Tesla car will enter the market with ₹55 Lakh as its estimated prize.

The EV, Model 3, was launched in 2017 which was designed to provide outstanding performance with more safety.

Model 3 is Tesla’s most sold car and has a big hand in taking the sales of the company to next level.

Model 3 is capable of accelerating from 0- 60 mph in 3.1 s with 162mph as its top speed. The car is designed to maintain the balance of the car in all weather conditions and is hence equipped with uber turbine wheels and performance brakes.
