Mech Mocha, social gaming platform which runs on Hello Play, has recently joined the E-Commerce giant, Flipkart.
Walmart owned-Flipkart has, along with Mech Mocha, taken over 10 other odd games developed by Mech Mocha in a duration of over 5 years including most played games like Ludo, Carrom, Snakes and Ladders, and Cricket.
Mech Mocha is a Bangaluru-based startup by Arpita Kapoor and Mohit Rangaraja in 2014. Mech Mocha has their games available in seven Indian languages.
It is backed by leading top-tier venture funds including Blume Ventures, Accel Partners, and Shunwei Capital.
Flipkart, a new addition to Mech Mocha’s investors’ list, has been a part of funding round participation while investing $1 Million in the seed round in 2015.
Flipkart’s Vice President, Prakash Sikaria, has mentioned that he has noticed a pattern where most of the new customers are enlightened to come online through videos or games format.
At Flipkart GameZone, it was observed that casual gamers turned out to be their early shoppers.
Flipkart has initiated innovative ideas to engage their users on their platform.
On joining Mech Mocha, Flipkart will behold the power of strengthening their capabilities in the sector of gaming domain with the help of Mech Mocha’s IP access, while their team will accelerate their attempt in the same space.
