Paytm Launches Its Own Android Mini App Store To Enhance Skills Of Indian Developers

What Is Paytm’s Mini App Store?

Paytm was found in August 2010, and since then it has attracted so many users, it claims to be the largest payment application. It has more than 150 million monthly users and 12 million visits.

Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Founder of Paytm, has launched their own “Paytm Mini App Store” after Paytm was taken down by Google for breaching their policies, according to Google.

The platform is developed to enhance the Indian developers’ skills and show Google how a personalized Indian application will prove more compatible for the users.

According to this Mini App Store, the users will be able to operate various applications with easy access, without having to download the applications.

The app store will be available via the Paytm app where browsing and simplified exploring will be introduced, especially for Indian users.

Paytm will build a new column in their app where these applications will be accessible from.

The in-built application will provide an app-like-websites experience and will be available to the users unaccompanied by payments or any charges.

One positive aspect of the Mini App Store is that it will be a huge relief for the people who are running on short storage in their phones or even low data.

Applications like Ola, Decathlon, Park+, Rapido, Netmeds, 1MG, Domino’s Pizza, Fresh menu, NoBroker have been already contained in the app store along with 300 various other Indian applications.

“Be the app that you want to see in the world. Condition: If only Google lets you be,” said Vijay Shekhar Sharma.

How Will It Be More Useful For People?

Developers will have an easy built facility as the apps will be on HTML and JavaScripts.

Various payment methods like Paytm Wallet, Paytm Payments Bank, UPI, Net-Banking card payments will be open options for the users.

“The company provides Paytm Wallet, Paytm Payments and UPI at zero charges and levies 2% charge for other instruments like credit cards…Paytm has created the digital infrastructure to enable small developers and businesses to set up low-cost, quick-to-built mini apps which can be built using HTML and Javascript technologies,” said the company.

Has Google Triggered The Paytm Founder?

After Paytm’s fallout from the Google app store was announced, Google has updated their privacy and guidelines to mulct a 30% commission on any “in-app” payments through its app-billing system.

Although the guidelines have been delayed till April 2022, the Indian payments app has been under huge trigger leading to the development of an android app store.
